National Reading Month

Asunder

As a writer, of course I love diving into my own work and creating new things, but my passion came from reading and discovering what others could create. To see the limitless potential of others is inspiring. This past month, I love that I’ve been able to share a few authors with you. For our last, I present Liz Steinworth, author of the upcoming book:

Something that sets Asunder apart is where it began. Liz started with a painting she made (below) and from that painting a world began to develop. When I hear her story, it reminds me of my own method and that the power of writing is fostering a spark and growing it into something bigger, something limitless and expansion. To me, Liz masters passion not for the word itself but for the story, and the need to express it in every way possible.

About Liz

As an artist, I’ve always wanted to express more than what a series of brush strokes could offer. One can view a piece of art and arrive at their own conclusions about what the mood and meaning of it is, but they can’t ever truly know. This feeling gripped me hard ever since I began my painting ‘Burden’ in 2014. As I painted, I was compelled tell the story hiding behind the character’s hood. And so, I wrote.

Synopsis

Asunder, Book One of The King’s Renegade, a Vatan Chronicle.

Alden knew living in the Shadowen Thieves Guild would come with a price, but when their latest target became the Princess of Ammos, he knew he couldn’t pay. Taking the risk, he turns on his guild to return home the one person able to free the innocent Kingdom of Brimley—if only she would listen to reason. Trust and Valor are tested as Princess Mayli is faced with the quandary to flee or stay with the mysterious man. When so many Brimleyn refugees are out for revenge, it was her rogue who acted like a shield. But why would her enemy sacrifice himself when it was she who called for war?

Asunder is available May 11th, 2018. The first three chapters are on her website. You can also follow her on Facebook, @TheArtofLIz on Instagram, and @LIz_Steinworth on Twitter.
